SALISBURY, Md. (AP) - Police say the man wanted in his estranged wife's shooting death on a residential rooftop in Maryland has been arrested.

News outlets report that Salisbury police announced late Wednesday morning that 35-year-old Jameal Rashawn Gould was found in a car in Salisbury and taken into custody, days after 30-year-old Erica Gould was killed.

BURTONSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Police say a student was shot while walking back to high school in Maryland.

Montgomery County police said in a release that a 17-year-old boy walked into a fire station and reported that he had been shot Monday morning. He told police he had left school to purchase something at a nearby convenience store, and was struck while walking back to Paint Branch High School.

DOVER, Del. (AP) - A bill taking aim at devices that increase the rate of fire of semi-automatic rifles has cleared its first hurdle in Delaware's legislature.

The bill, which makes the sale or possession of bump stocks, trigger cranks and similar devices a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, was released from a Democrat-led House committee Wednesday.

The gunman who killed 58 people and wounded hundreds more in Las Vegas in October had several weapons outfitted with bump stocks.

MIDDLETOWN, Del. (AP) - Police in Delaware are investigating a shooting that left two people with multiple gunshot wounds.

Middletown police say in a statement that officers arrived at the scene Wednesday afternoon and found one victim before they were directed to a second victim in a nearby apartment complex. Both victims were taken to a hospital.

Police Capt. William Texter tells The News Journal that he's hopeful witnesses may come forward.

The investigation is ongoing.

BALTIMORE (AP) – Governor Larry Hogan has announced that the state will offer a $100-thousand reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the death of a Baltimore homicide detective.

Police Commissioner Kevin Davis announced yesterday that officer Sean Suiter had died of a gunshot wound to the head after conducting an investigation into a 2016 homicide on the west side of Baltimore.

Davis also said another reward has been offered for information on the killer totaling $69-thousand.

Accomack County Sheriff’s office says two people were shot late Halloween night.

When deputies arrived at the scene near the town of Painter a 31-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were found with gunshot wounds.

They were taken to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onley.

They are reported to be in stable condition.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the Eastern Shore Drug Task Force is assisting the sheriff’s office in the investigation.

BEL AIR, Md. (AP) - One of the first people to call 911 after a fatal office park shooting in Maryland thought people had passed out from a gas leak.

The calls about the Oct. 18 shooting at Advanced Granite Solutions were released Wednesday by Harford County after a Public Information Act request by The Associated Press.

An initial caller told the dispatcher "they're all unconscious. It's some kind of gas leak."

An employee of the business also was among the 911 callers and said "somebody just came in and started shooting."

ABERDEEN, Md. (AP) - A witness to the deadly rampage inside a Maryland granite company says the suspect, Radee Prince, had gathered a small group of his co-workers together by saying "come with me, I want to say something to everybody." Without another word, he opened fire.

The witness, a man who worked at the countertop making company for a year and a half, said when Prince arrived Wednesday morning he responded to a polite greeting with harsh language describing Advanced Granite Solutions and its workers. Then he tried to talk individually to a few employees.

EDGEWOOD, Md. (AP) - A Maryland sheriff says three people have been killed and two were wounded during a shooting at an office park in the northeastern part of the state.
 
Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler identified the shooter Wednesday morning as 37-year-old Radee Labeeb Prince. He says Prince opened fire with a handgun and police are looking for him. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Crisfield police are looking at what happened to a Salisbury man who was shot at least 14 times.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that police say Mark Laquan Smith was found with gunshot wounds at the Somers Cove Apartments after receiving a 911 call.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The paper reports that police say they found narcotics, money and revolver nearby.

Authorities say that Smith was staying with a girlfriend at the apartments.
