LEWES, Del. (AP) - The University of Delaware's College of Earth, Ocean and Environment is hosting a manned submersible to be used for deep-sea research.

WBOC-TV reports that students will be able to board the OceanGate-created Cyclops 1, a vessel that can travel almost 550 yards underwater.

The college's acting dean Mohsen Badiey says the school will use the submersible during the fall semester ahead of a potential longer-term agreement and collaboration.

LEWES, Del. (AP) - The University of Delaware will start selling energy credits from a wind turbine on its Lewes campus to Delaware Municipal Electric Coop.

WMDT-TV reports that the three-year-old turbine typically creates enough energy to power 5,000 homes for an entire year. It's currently being used to power the Lewes campus.
