77-year-old Maria Ellis was killed Friday in a car crash on Route 50 when her Toyota Camry entered the westbound lanes near White Lowe Road.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that she failed to yield to oncoming traffic as was struck on the side by a Ford Focus driven by 20-year-old Garret Pusey.
Pusey was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center with injuries.
Police said alcohol was not involved in the crash but note it was raining at the time.
