UPDATE: 12 Dead in Washington Navy Yard shooting

UPDATE: 
WASHINGTON (AP) -  At least 12 people have died in the shootings at the Washington Navy Yard according to officials.
 
During a news conference DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier said that 12 people were confirmed dead.

People are being told to stay in their homes and out of areas as authorities continue searching for 2 other possible suspects. Both suspects are wearing military style uniforms and are carrying firearms. 

There is no indication of a possible motive at this time according to police.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Two Navy officials say at least six people have died in a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity on Monday because they were not authorized to discuss the situation publicly.

A Defense Department official and a federal law enforcement official have said a shooter had died, though it was not immediately clear how.

DC police chief says 2 additional suspects were wearing military-style uniforms.

Police are also looking into the possibility of a second shooter.

As many as 10 were wounded.
