Dover, DE – Senator Chris Coons has expressed concern that 4,000 DE residents have not claimed their IRS tax refunds from 2007. The deadline is April 18 of this year and there is no penalty for filing a late refund return. Senator Coons said every penny makes a difference in this tight economy, especially when a combined amount of $4-million dollars in unclaimed funds are not being invested in the local economy.
