UD Football Coach Dave Brock Fired

University of Delaware

University of Delaware football coach Dave Brock has been fired winning only 12 of the last 32 games.

His contract had been set to run through 2017.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the announcement was made Sunday afternoon.

In addition, the university said that co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Dennis Dottin-Carter will take up the top job while the school looks for a replacement.

The News Journal reports that when contacted by phone last night Brock said it would be inappropriate to comment.

But Brock was not the only casualty from Sunday.

The university also announced that volleyball coach Bonnie Kenny and associate head coach Cindy Gregory had also been fired.

Both had been placed on administrative leave earlier this month without the university giving any reason.
