Maryland State Police issued just over 68-hundred traffic citations over the Memorial Day Weekendwith another 51-hundred warnings.
There were also 102 arrests for impaired driving as well as another 51 for drug offenses.
Another 73 were charged with other criminal violations.
The Maryland Highway Safety Office provided grants to fund the overtime needed for additional patrols.
