A NASA MalemuteTerrier-Improved suborbital rocket lifted off this morning from Wallops Flight Facility this morning carrying experiment developed by university students from across the nation.
The experiments were developed through the RockSat-X program conducted with the Colorado Space Grant Constortium.
There were around 40 students and instructors on hand for the launch this morning.
The launch was dedicated to Brad Mason, a recent graduate from Crisfield High School who had been an intern at Wallops, and died in a crash earlier this summer.
His parents witnessed this morning’s lift off.
