The Worcester County Commissioners slashed 32 positions in the county public school system.
But the district’s employees will be eligible for a raise.
The reductions in staffing include 17.5 teachers and 13 education assistants.
In addition, one and a half administrators will also be cut.
Meanwhile, there will be a 1 percent cost of living increase for employees.
The maintenance of effort budget will remain the same as last year.
The Worcester County Teachers Association voted 330 to 18 to approve the deal.
