The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Sussex and Sussex Counties through 11 a.m. with and coastal flood advisory in effect through 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, a winter weather advisory has been issued for Kent, Queen Anne’s, Talbot and Caroline counties in Maryland for this evening starting at 8 p.m. and running through 4 p.m. tomorrow.

For northern Delaware forecasters expect somewhere between 8 and 12 inches of snow beginning tonight.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that they expect that to drop off in the southern part of the state with about 4 to 8 inches for Dover with no snow expected in Georgetown.

Instead, the southernmost part of the Delaware is expected to see a mix of rain and snow.

For the Wicomico area forecasters say residents should expect up to 2 inches of snow to accumulate.

Finally, the Virginia Eastern Show should see less than an inch.

Most of the storm is expected to ease up by late Tuesday.
