The Snow is Falling

Angela Byrd

The snow is coming down.

And forecasters say we should expect 4 to 6 inches of accumulation with the heaviest in Accomack County.

The Maryland Lower Shore is expected to get up to 3 to 4 inches while Sussex County could see up to 3 inches.

There’s also a winter storm warning in effect until around 4 p.m. this afternoon.

Temperatures should remain in the upper 20’s with some north winds of 20 mph.

The Maryland State Highway Administration is warning travelers to be cautious, especially on bridges, overpasses and at intersections.

There will extra crews from the Coordinated Highway Action Response team to take care of disabled vehicles and to deal with traffic conditions.

The City of Salisbury has nine trucks on hand and will use them on residential streets if the snow accumulation is four inches or more.
