WASHINGTON (AP) - The National Weather Service says the snow has stopped in the Washington region, with some areas seeing just a trace of snow and other spots getting more.

The National Weather Service meteorologist Heather Sheffield said Monday afternoon that Reagan National Airport got a trace amount of snow while .8 inches were reported at Washington Dulles International Airport. Prince William County and surrounding counties got about one to two inches.

The weather service says the snow moved out of the area after about 8:30 a.m.
