creative commons

Six people were rescued off Kent Island.

The U.S. Coast Guard along with the Annapolis Fire Boat and Station Annapolis crews found the boat taking on water.

They helped keep the vessel afloat and Personnel TowBoatUS finished de-watering bringing it to safety at the Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the Coast Guard was first notified when it received a distress call that the 23-foot boat was taking on water on Saturday.
