The Salisbury Regional airport has a new pilot.
Dawn Veatch is taking over as manager of the facility replacing Bob Bryant.
She called the airport a “diamond in the rough” and said it was time that the facility develop a stronger relationship with the nearby industrial park.
WBOC reports that she said that one of her first tasks will be renovations at the air terminal bringing in local restaurants that have off site permits to provide food service for those waiting for their flights.
She also wants to build new hangars for the growing market of corporate jet aircraft.
