Salisbury and Wicomico Work Out Snow Plow Plan

Don Rush

With at least two snow storms behind us and possibly more on the way Salisbury Public Works Director Mike Moulds told the council during a work session yesterday that there would be better coordination between the city and the county when cleaning up the local roads.

Moulds said the county has already agreed to the improved plan that would should ensure quicker response time during a storm.

“So, instead of a truck just doing a piece and then jumping, and jumping over we divided up these streets so the county would take responsibility for a stretch and we would too, so the end result is that we’re more efficient and we can get the plowing done quicker.”

Council Vice President Laura Mitchell said she was relieved to hear that many of the concerns she heard from local citizens would be addressed.
