Queen Anne's County Police in Schools

CENTREVILLE, Md. (AP) - Police are doing extra patrols around schools in Queen Anne's County.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that officers with the Queen Anne's County Office of the Sheriff and the Centreville Police Department will continue the increased patrols this week. The patrols started after last month's shooting at a school in Newtown, Conn.

A Sheriff's Office spokesman says police presence isn't a response to any specific rumors or threats.
