Punkin Chunkin Moves to Dover

Punkin Chunkin website

It’s official.

Pumpkin Chunkin will be moving to the Dover International Speedway next month.

This will be the 28th year for the event.

The move comes after organizers of the World Championship Punkin Chunkin event lost its old site at a farm near Bridgeville earlier this year.

More than 50 sites were looked at both in and out of the First State before it was decided on the International Speedway.

Some of the air cannons can shoot pumpkins nearly a mile so space was in important consideration.
