Meanwhile, over 30 people gathered to protest the criminal justice system in Wicomico County yesterday.

It was a loose gathering that marched around two blocks from the corner of Lake Street and Business Route 50 to the Salisbury Police Department.

They chanted “Hands up, don’t shoot” and “I am Michael Brown” in the wake of the decision by a grand jury failed to indict a police Furgeson officer Darren Wilson who shot and killed Michael Brown, an African American teenager in Fergeson, Missouri.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that some of the protesters were quick to point to police shootings involving African Americans.
