He was known as the Boardwalk Elvis.

Norman Webb has died at the age of 78 after losing a battle with cancer.

He roamed the Ocean City boardwalk dressed as Elvis singing the King’s songs.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that since his death there has been an outpouring of sympathy and remembrance with many posting photos of the iconic Ocean City figure.

Mayor Rick Meehan posted on his Facebook page, ”You are truly a boardwalk icon.”

A funeral service will be held at the Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville on Thursday afternoon with a viewing that morning.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Funeral Home to help with the expenses.
