Ocean City Gets A New Town Manager

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - The resort of Ocean City has sworn in its new city manager.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports David Recor, a former city manager in Fort Pierce, Fla., officially took over the position this week.

Recor says he wants to immerse himself in the community and to meet with at least one community group or organization each week.

Mayor Rick Meehan has been serving as interim city manager since September, when Dennis Dare resigned. During a work session this week, Meehan thanked residents for supporting him through his first stint in the position.
