Ocean City will have to start taking the trash to the landfill in Worcester County.
ECR, the company that take the resort’s garbage to an out-of-state incinerator, has backed out of its contract.
Hal Adkins, the Ocean City Public Works director, said the company’s three-year contract runs out this Sunday and it decided not to rebid.
But there’s a new company coming on line to begin removal on Monday.
