OC Skate Park, No Reduced Hours Expected

Ocean City officials may not reduce the hours that a skate park can be used.

A new report by the Parks and Recreation Department found that an average of 31 skaters per day use the Ocean Bowl Skate Park.

The report says there were more than 10-thousand visits to the facility last year generating over $55-thousand in revenue.

Last year, city council members considered closing the skate park during the week to save money. It would have gone into effect the Tuesday after Labor Day.

The facility would also have been open only on weekends.
