Howard Schweitzer a firefighter and paramedic with the Ocean city Fire Department was killed in a motorcycle crash near Georgetown yesterday morning.
The accident occurred when he was riding his Harley-Davidson up East Trap Pond Road and struck another vehicle that had apparently failed to come to a full stop.
Schweitzer was wearing a helmet and was ejected from the motorcycle.
He died at the scene.
Jessica Waters with Ocean City told the Salisbury Daily Times that the news was devastating.
The driver and his two juvenile passengers were uninjured.
