WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware may soon have a television station.
TheNews Journal reports that owners of the future KJWP plan to begin transmitting later this year.
The plans are taking shape after a five-year effort to win permission move the station currently known as KJWY from Wyoming to Delaware.
An attorney for station owner PCLLC of New Jersey says the tower will be in Philadelphia, but it's not yet clear where the studio will be. He says the station will be tied to a network, but not one of the major ones.
Bob McAllan, a managing member with PCLLC, says the station will carry weekly public affairs coverage focused on issues of note to Wilmington and the state. He says more details on programming will be available this fall.
