Macy's Store in Salisbury Survives Cuts

Macy's logo

The Macy’s store in the Centre at Salisbury will be spared after the chain released a list of closures.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that stores in Hagerstown, Maryland along with ones in Hampton and Norfolk Virginia will be shutting their doors.

The paper reports that 36 stores will be gone by early this year.

Another 4 were shuttered last year.

The company said that the decision is based on closing those stores that are no longer productive and no longer shopping destinations.
