ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan is halfway through six rounds of chemotherapy.
The Republican governor announced Tuesday on his Facebook page that he had good news and great news. The good news is he has completed his fifth-straight day of chemotherapy. He added that the great news is he's finished the third of six scheduled rounds.
Hogan says he's looking forward to getting back to work. The governor has been keeping busy and continues to appear publicly. Last week, he announced a commission to study legislative redistricting reform. The week before, he announced the closing of the men's section of the Baltimore City Detention Center during a news conference by the state-run jail.
Hogan is being treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore for B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
