Hate Crime in Claymont

creative commons

In Claymont a couple found a swastika scratched in the paint of one of their cars with a racial slur etched on the rear hatch door.

Ameerah Green discovered the damage to the 2004 Mercury Mountaineer on Sunday after finding her front yard had been vandalized.

In addition, her husband’s 1995 Lexus was also scratched running from the headlight to the taillight.

The couple did not have insurance to pay for the damage on the cars.

Police say they are treating the incident as a hate crime.
