Frederick High Shooting Leaves Two Injured (Update)

data.net

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - Police in Maryland are searching for suspects Thursday after two students were shot outside a high school basketball game.

The Wednesday night shooting at Frederick High School sent spectators of the game running for cover as frantic parents rushed to the scene to make sure their children were OK.

Frederick Police Capt. Richard Hetherington says the two students were flown to a hospital in Baltimore with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Police said Thursday that the students are both boys but didn't have their exact ages. The shooter or shooters were still at large.

Hetherington said in a statement that a motive for the shooting wasn't immediately clear and an investigation into the identity of the shooter or shooters was ongoing.
