Firefly Music Festival Encounters Turbulence

The website for the Firefly Music Festival was overwhelmed by the demand for advanced tickets which sold out three hours after they went on sale at noon yesterday.

Julia Tulloch from Wilmington told the News Journal said that she had a difficult time getting her tickets missing “Early Bird” offer that went for $198.

She wound up paying $260 for Advance tickets.

Festival organizers said they sold more tickets in one hour yesterday than they did for all of last year’s event.

There was another disappointment for fans when it was announced that the band Imagine Dragons would not appear because of a scheduling conflict.

They will be replaced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket producing a lively discussion on Facebook.
