Family Concern About Abuse in Matusiewicz Trial

Delaware Law Enforcement

The Matuziewicz cyberstalking trial took another turn yesterday with two family members saying that there was concern that Christine Belford had sexually abused her daughters.

A year later her husband David Matusiewicz and his mother Lenore kidnapped the children and took them to Central America.

David, his mother and his sister Amy Gonzalez are charged with cyberstalking with the intent to kill her.

David’s father Thomas eventually shot and killed Belford along with a friend in a Delaware courthouse before exchanging gun fire with security and then killing himself.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the abuse allegations had been rejected in the custody battle that ended David’s parental rights.
