Famed Baltimore Passenger Ship Damages Pier

BALTIMORE (AP) - The Coast Guard says a passenger ship with nearly 450 people on board hit a pier in Baltimore.

The Coast Guard says the Spirit of Baltimore struck the pier at Henderson Wharf Marina early Sunday morning. It says there were 447 people on board at the time and no injuries were reported.

The Coast Guard says 60-feet of the pier was damaged. The ship's hull also suffered some damage.

The Coast Guard says the incident remains under investigation.
