The I-495 bridge over Terminal Avenue in Wilmington will experience lane closures for nearly a month to replace a connector provides more flexibility to the span.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that the northbound right lane will be shut down beginning today for the next two weeks.
After that the two left lanes will be closed for another two weeks.
Only one northbound lane will be left open.
And, the on-ramp will also be closed off until the work has been completed.
The News Journal reports that work crews will replace a broken bridge joint with a concrete one.
