Delaware State Fair Opens With Musical Acts and Rides

Matt Forney

It’s that time of year again for the Delaware State Fair.

Thousands are expected to flock to Harrington for musical acts, rides and some examples of husbandry.

The 10 day event opens its gates at noon with rides beginning at 5 p.m.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that Toby Keith will open the fair’s musical lineup on the M&T Bank Grandstand stage.

Returning to the fair will be the Roost Beer & Wine Garden which will also feature music.

The paper reports that for the thrill seekers there will be 50 rides that include the Sizzler, Tilt-A-Whirl and the Ferris wheel.

A five day pass for adults is $30.50.

For teens the cost will be from $9-$9.50 while those ages 6-12 will get in for $4-$4.50.
