Delaware Senator Miffed in Latest Clinton Email Release

official website

As more emails emerge from Hillary Clinton’s days at Secretary of State Senator Chris Coons got a mention.

State Department officials apparently were concerned about the Delaware Democrat being miffed that he was the only Senator not mentioned by name at an event in June of 2011.

Coons had noted that he had “beat the witch” a reference to Republican Christine O’Donnell whom he defeated for the Delaware senate seat in 2010.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that another lapse was mentioned in the same email sent to Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff Cheryl Mills by a former advisor to President Bill Clinton.

The Delaware Democrat said he also discovered by “happenstance” Clinton’s plans for a trip to Africa noting that no one reached out to him.

The News Journal reports that at the time Coons was chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on African Affairs.
