Hundreds of people marched in Seaford – many with signs reading,”Justice for Germani”.

The march comes after nine-year-old Germani Truitt-Handy was struck and killed by a car driven by Dwayne McConnell.

McConnell is now out on a $61-hundred bond and faces charges ranging from operating a vehicle causing the death of another person and inattentive driving to leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report a collision that resulted death.

He was also charged with possession of marijuana.

But on Monday afternoon Nia 2X, president of the Washington D.C. chapter of the National Action Network, told WBOC that he wants McConnell be locked up adding that he should not be not out on bail.

The television station spoke with McConnell’s attorney by phone who said the bail had been set based on a number of factors and that the case was in its early stages.
