OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - A 6-foot (2-meter) long dead shark has washed ashore a Maryland beach.

Ocean City town officials tell media outlets that the shark appeared Monday on the 120th Street beach. Lifeguards pulled it from the water in front of a crowd of beach-goers.

It's unclear what type of shark it was.

No other information was immediately available.
