Motorists in Somerset County will now be able to take the Stewart Neck Road bridge over King’s Creek.
It’s taken nearly a year to replace the old wooden bridge which fell into the water.
That forced motorists to take a 5-mile detour along nearby Revels Neck Road to Route 13.
This week State Highway Administration and Somerset County officials dedicated the reopening of a new steel-and-concrete bridge.
The $1.4 million bridge replaces the old wooden structure whose pilings had rotted away.
