Boaters Beware of Effects from Hurricane Isaac

Baot, 123rf.com

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland's Department of Natural Resources is reminding boaters heading out on the water for the Labor Day weekend to be prepared for the remnants of Hurricane Isaac.

DNR officials say boaters should be prepared for high tides, debris and missing or misplaced navigational aids.

And boaters should inspect their vessels for damage before leaving the dock. Natural Resources Police will also be out on state waters to make sure boaters aren't drinking or operating their vessels negligently.
