Berlin Town Officials Okay Celebrating New Brews

When there’s a new brew the Town of Berlin is willing allow some celebrations.

The Mayor and City Council gave their blessing to three events that will focus on new beer releases at Burley Oak this year.

Bryan Brushmiller, who owns the brewery told the Salisbury Daily Times, that he believes these will give the town an economic boost.

He says that other breweries around the country host beer release events that bring in thousands of people and expects the same to happen in Berlin.

Next month Brushmiller will go to the county’s board of license commissioners and says the area around the brewery will be fenced off to ensure that beer will only be sold to those 21 and older.

The events are set for three Saturdays, April 20th, June 29th and September 28th and will feature live music.
