Another year. Another White Marlin Open dispute.
For the second year in a row tournament officials confirmed that an angler in the 44th annual competition failed a polygraph test.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the organization would not release the identity of either the angler or the boat.
But the paper reports that the angler who failed opted to take a second polygraph by a different organization provided by the tournament.
The results were given to officials but their findings have not been disclosed.
The Daily Times reports that a second prize winner was also tested but the results were inconclusive.
Meanwhile, Glen Frost of Stevensville took the top prize of $1.6 million for a 95.5 pound white marlin.
Officials said that he had not failed his polygraph.
Those winning $50-thosusand or more are required to take a test.
