DOVER, Del. (AP) - Health officials say Delaware has recorded its first heat-related death this year.

The Division of Public Health said preliminary findings indicated the death of a 56-year old Sussex County man on Wednesday was caused in part by heat exposure. Officials say the man had an underlying medical condition.

The agency says the medical examiner's office will not perform an autopsy.
