The driver of an ambulance involved in an accident that left a patient dead has been charged with failure to obey a traffic signal.
38-year old Peter Surran with the Bloxom Volunteer Fire Company struck a Star-Transit bus in Keller on June 1st.
Authorities say the patient, 60-year old Douglas McCready, died at the scene.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the ambulance did have its lights and siren on while going south Route 13 when Surran ran a red light.
Authorities say that the ambulance overturned a number of times.
