GRASONVILLE, Md. (AP) - Police say a child has died and at least seven other people were injured when a racing boat lost control and crashed into a crowd of onlookers off Kent Island.

The Capital Gazette reports that Maryland Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson says a 7-year-old died.  Three victims were taken to a trauma center following the collision Sunday afternoon in the Chesapeake Bay. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

Delmarvans emerged from another snow storm yesterday with Lewes, Delaware reporting up to 8 inches of snow.

The Delaware Emergency Management Agency said Kent and Sussex county got 3 to 5 inches of snow.

On the Maryland Eastern Shore it was more like 4 to 6 inches of snow.

For Accomack County there were reports of up to 5.5 inches of snow.

At a local gas station in Salisbury some Delmarvans had had enough snow while others embraced the second storm in as many weeks.
