DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware regulators are considering Delmarva Power's request to approve a $42 million rate hike for electricity users.
The utility says the proposed base rate increase reflects rising costs for providing electrical service.
The Public Service Commission was to meet Tuesday afternoon in Dover to consider a proposed order opening a docket to consider Delmarva's rate request. A group of state lawmakers and advocacy organizations planned a rally Tuesday morning in Wilmington to speak out against Delmarva rate request.
