Even as Delawareans dust themselves off after another snow storm the National Weather Service is predicting a bigger snow threat this weekend.

AccuWeather meteorologist Alan Reppert told the Wilmington News Journal that it it could be the worst this winter combining two storms coming in from the Midwest and another from the Southeast.

The National Weather Service says it is still too early to predict the amount of accumulation for this weekend.

The National Weather Service is warning of a powerful line of gigantic thunderstorms that are rolling out of the Mid-West and are expected to hit Maryland and packing some hail lightning and tree-toppling winds.

They’re called a derecho with winds that could span 240 miles.

The storms are likely to generate tornados and cause power outages followed by oppressive heat.
