Wyoming Park Closed After Dead Geese Found

delaware.gov

WYMONING, Del. (AP) - Authorities say Delaware's Wyoming Park is closed as agriculture agents and law enforcers investigate the deaths of more than a dozen geese in the park.

Delaware State Police said Saturday that the geese were found dead. Officials say the birds have no outward signs trauma, and the bodies have been shipped to a Pennsylvania veterinary lab for toxicology tests.

According to the town's website, the park includes a pond, playground equipment, picnic tables, grills and a large pavilion.

The website says the park has been closed until further notice due to safety issues.
