WSDL 90.7 Transmitter Laid Low by Critter

As you may be aware, WSDL, 90.7 was off the air over the weekend.

According to our broadcast engineer, some sort of small animal crawled into the the transmitter’s exciter unit and left a mess which caused  damage to the internal fuses.

For this reason, WSDL, 90.7 is currently operating on low power using a spare exciter module.

Delmarva Public Radio is in the process of replacing transmitters for both WSCL 89.5 FM and WSDL, 90.7.   We are receiving bids from vendors. Although we cannot say exactly when new transmitters will arrive and be installed, we can say that the process is well underway.

As always, we thank you for your continuing patience and remind you that you can always listen to WSDL, 90.7, online at delmarvapublicradio.net.
