An ice hockey rink in Worcester County is one step closer.
The Maryland Stadium Authority has voted to go ahead with a study to evaluate the 62-hundred seat arena.
It will look at the project from a marketing and economic standpoint.
Worcester’s economic development director Bill Badger told the Salisbury Daily Times that this gives the county an official opportunity to get an evaluation.
The proposal for the study must now get through the Maryland General Assembly.
Worcester County will shell out $15-thousand for the study with another $30-thousand coming from the Maryland Stadium Authority.
The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development will provide another $25-thousand while Hat Trick consultants will come up with an extra $5-thousand.
