Worcester County Humane Society is facing some tough times these days.
It’s looking at $400-thousand in red ink and the resignation of its former director after 37 years in the job.
The no-kill shelter has also seen its adoption rate drop while it has more than a hundred cats and some 20 dogs.
Society’s new director Linda Lugo tells WBOC that she has a number of ideas to turn the shelter around including more fundraisers to get the shelter’s house in order.
