Wor-Wic Community College President Murray Ray Hoy is going to stay where he is after turning down a position as president of Delaware Technical Community College.
Hoy sent out his announcement to students yesterday afternoon.
DelTech announced their choice before -- what Hoy said – “were candid conversations, expectations and agreements”.
Hoy said he and the school were not able to reach a consensus on the terms of employment, adding that he regretted the disruption that the announcement may have cause.
Hoy said he had entertained the job because of his ties to the area having grown up in Chester, Maryland near the Dover-based DelTech.
